Cannot boot ESXi 6.5 host from USB because Fatal error: 33 (Inconsistent data) xorg.v00? I properly powered down my host but it didn't come back up. I get the error described above. I know its silly i but i didn't have a copy of the running config or a copy of the image of the USB. Also ran in to this problem on ESXi 7.0 (clueless as to what triggered it), as far as I know there has been no power outage. Anyway, 'upgrading' to ESXi 7.0 from a bootable usb did not fix the issue, however running a brand new install and re-registering my VM's did work. Not only did the installer completely boot, but the customer was able to perform both a fresh install of ESXi 6.5 as well as an upgrade from ESXi 6.0 to 6.5 on the Mac Pro 6,1 without any issues. Of course, we do not know if this is the real fix or if there are other issues. After a server restart the server fails to boot with Error loading /s.v00 Fatal error: 33 (Inconsistent data). The VMware knowledgebase would suggest reinstalling the ESXi OS.
vSphere is a set of enterprise virtualization solution based on cloud computing launched by VNware company in 2001. The core component is ESXi. Today, after five versions of improvements, we have achieved integrated solutions such as virtualization infrastructure, high availability, centralized management, performance monitoring, etc.
Benefits of virtual machines
Why use virtual machines
Download cleanmem pro full version. vSphere basic physical architecture
Virtualization Server: also known as x86 server, can be composed of multiple ESXi, provide CPU and memory resources through network services, and all virtual machines run in the server.
It's also related to the performance of virtual machines. Storage network can use SAN, NAS and other storage technologies.
Basic architecture of vSphere
Installation environment of ESXi
ESXi installation mode: U disk installation
step
be careful
The operation and maintenance boss advised me to use U disk installation, which can save a hard disk.
This requires writing iso to the u disk with rufus
1. Power on, insert the ESXi installation disk, select the first item, press enter
The installation steps after startup can be said to be the next step along the way. Those who understand some English believe that there is no pressure (different versions are almost the same. The newer version of ESXi requires at least 4G memory, but this verification can be bypassed. There are online tutorials, which will not be repeated here)
Note that when I install the virtual machine, I need to connect the u disk here
2. As shown in the figure, enter the ESXi welcome interface and press enter to continue
3. In the install license screen, press F11 to continue
4. The system will automatically check the available storage devices, and then select the disk location to install in this interface. Press enter to continue
5. Select the US default keyboard
6. Continue, enter the root password; note that the password is at least 7 digits. Rocket for instagram android. (wan@#yun625)
7. After configuring all the information, go to the interface and press F11 to start the installation
8. After installation, press enter in this interface to restart
After the restart, the naked hard disk already has the ESXi system and the full-text interface of the ESXi server. Because in the real environment, we rarely need to operate on this server. Relevant operations such as creating and managing virtual servers can be performed on the browser / vSphere Client (after 6.5, the official began to recommend the configuration of direct browser interface); However, before that, we need to configure the ESXi network. The vSphere Client controls it through the network. We must configure the access IP for ESXi in advance.
9. After the restart, enter the interface and press F2 to pop up the login interface
10. Enter the root account and password in the pop-up login interface, and press enter to log in
Select 'Configure Management Network' (pay attention to select the network adapter first. If the driver is normal, you should be able to see more than one network card. When inserting and pulling the network cable, there is a prompt indicating which network card is connected to the network card, so as to distinguish the network card from the network card)
Option function:
IP address can be modified
The installation was successful
The following is the Esxi address of my server. My virtual machine cannot be accessed temporarily. Please paste the map first.
At this time, plug in the Internet cable, set your computer and ESXi server in the same network segment, and you can access the server in the browser through IP address:
During a recent install of VMware ESXi 6.7 on a pair of Cisco UCS 220 servers, I ran into a partition error causing the installation to fail. The error stated partedUtil failed with message: “Error: Can’t have a partition outside the disk! Unable to read partition table for device.” The intended install location was a Cisco FlexFlash virtual drive made up of two onboard SD cards.
To remediate the issue, the virtual drive needed to be erased. We also disabled/re-enabled the Virtual Drive. Let’s walk through the process.
NOTE – This was done in the new HTML5 CIMC GUI. Previous CIMC versions have a format button as opposed to an erase. Additionally, erasing/formatting a drive will permanently delete all of the data from the drive. Therefore, ensure you are performing this on the correct device. Lastly, although we saw the issue with a 6.7 install, the process would still be the same for earlier ESXi versions.
Erase Cisco FlexFlash Virtual Drive
Log in to CIMC and navigate to Cisco FlexFlash under the Storage menu.
Select the Virtual Drives tab. Check your affected Virtual Drive and click Erase.
Select OK to erase the virtual drive.
Once the drive is erased, the Operation Status shows Erase-Success.
Disable/Enable Cisco FlexFlash Virtual Drive
Next, we will disable the virtual drive. With the drive still selected, click Disable Virtual Drive.
Select OK to disable the drive.
Esxi Installer Fatal Error 33 Inconsistent Data
Lastly, click the Enable Virtual Drive to re-enable.
Select OK to enable the virtual drive.
Loading Esxi Installer Fatal Error 33
That is all. Proceed with your ESXi installation.
