Systems with connected standby capability will not have a Power Management tab on devices in Device Manager. There used to be a checkbox in Intel Bluetooth where I could turn on power saving for bluetooth accessories. But it is gone, no longer showing as a tab under any of the bluetooth items in Device Manager.

1. Oct 06, 2014 Systems with connected standby capability will not have a Power Management tab on devices in Device Manager. To verify the function, run powercfg /energy from an elevated command prompt. The Connected Standby system will not support S3 sleep state.
2. In the Device Manager, select the menu item View / Show hidden devices. Now you can see the devices which are no longer connected to your computer. Delete the devices you are no longer using: Select the device you need to delete. In the dialogue box of the device properties go to the Driver tab and click Uninstall. Then follow the directions.
3. Go to Device Manager. In the 'devices by type' view, open the Human Interface Devices. Scroll until you find 2 AirPods entries: (Name) AirPods Audio/Video Remote Control HID (Name) AirPods Hands-Free Call Control HID. For each of the devices, right click and choose Properties. Go to Power Management tab. Uncheck the 'Allow the computer to turn.

This article discusses a by-design behavior where the Power Management tab is no longer available in the Wireless Network advanced properties in an Always-On/Always-Connected (AOAC) platform.

Consider the following scenario:

• You have a system that is an AOAC platform.
• The system is running Windows 8.
• You install the July update rollup 2855336.
• After the update is installed, you open up Device Manager.
• You open the Wireless Network adapter properties.

In this scenario, you notice that the Power Management tab is no longer available within the advanced driver properties.

This behavior is by design. For Windows 8, update rollup 2855336 implements this change for Wireless adapter miniports on AOAC platforms.

Windows 10 Power Management Tab

With AOAC platforms, Windows needs to systematically manage the adapter's power state to achieve Connected Standby. Thus, the Power Management tab is not provided for the user to uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option. On non-AOAC platforms, the Power Management tab is retained.

This update rollup also addresses an issue on both platforms, in which the system might not be able to wake up after the system goes to sleep if the wireless adapter supports OID_RECEIVE_FILTER_SET_FILTER and the checkbox Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked. This filter is used when an adapter supports NDIS packet coalescing, SR-IOV, or VMQ.
