I play a tactician coop game with a friend of mine and I've decided to play a dex based summoner. I rushed my summoning to 10 at level 3 to get the beafed up incarnate and got a skill point (2) in hunstman at 4. At that time I didn't realise that I could push summoning at 20. So my questions to you is:
Should I rush summoning to 20 or 10 is fine and I should put points in other skills (ranged or warfare for more damage with my bow or magic schools for buffs and heals)? My friend plays a ranger type build.
Thanks!
I've created a conjurer, and so far just at level 2. I was thinking to go mage skills, probably pyro/geo, to supplement and increase the power of my summons. But, I ran across advice yesterday that this approach becomes weak in later game, and summoners were better off in long term to build up some necro capabilities. What it wont be 99% of the time is your fighter type character with a giant axe that should split trees.
How I think dos should scale
Barbarian / melee fighter - most risk
Rogue - high risk but sneaky and dodgy. Rogue should only be highest dmg if they are at risk because lower life. Don't get me started on all the games where rogue can be the best dmg and tankiest at the same time.
Wizard / hunter - low risk. Away from the direct battle. More utility options.
Knight / paladin / cleric- high risk but high dmg mitigation.
